i think there are some models such as the 40gb version that can't play old ps games but i'm a bit confused about it
*PennilessWriter:iconPennilessWriter: Jan 31, 2008, 12:03:51 PM
You know the PS3? Is it possible to play old Playstation or PS2 games on it as well? Because if not that's just annoying! lol.

i like the Xbox 360 most because it has the Halo series which i like a lot :D

the Wii seems to have a lot of games for younger people which i don't like much and the playstation 3 doesn't have many good exclusive games apart from Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy
*PennilessWriter:iconPennilessWriter: Jan 26, 2008, 4:27:42 PM
Haha - yeah, unis in general are big places! It's cool though because it means you're bound to find people who you have lots in common with, whereas in schools there are fewer people so it's less likely...

No - I haven't got any of the new consoles but I want someone to recommend which would be best to get! Which do you have and which would you say are the best?

Wow looks big.

I play Call of Duty 4 online with some people i played World of Warcraft with and Assassin's Creed sometimes but they get boring pretty fast, do you play any games on the new consoles ?(xbox 360, PS3, Wii)
*PennilessWriter:iconPennilessWriter: Jan 20, 2008, 3:57:56 PM
Nah, there's still time!

It's hard to explain! Basically it's the oldest university in the English-speaking world and is one of the best universities in the world! It was such a mission to get in, like, seriously. You know the Great Hall in Harry Potter, where they all eat those huge banquets? Well, that was filmed at Oxford University! Hold on, I'll link you to the Wikipedia site because there are some photos there. I can't wait until I go! It's going to be amazing. (But really, really difficult because all the people are complete geniuses! Argh!) [link] There we are. Some of the buildings are like castles, some are like cathedrals, some like big mansions! (Haha, there'll probably be lots of geeks there and I'll hate it, but hopefully not!! :P)

What do you think? :D

Played any good games recently?

Its ok, most of the time i'm washing dishes sometimes serving food if its busy.

hmm i've heard of it a few times but i don't know a lot about Universitys, why isn't it a normal Uni?

ye sabrina says she remembers you

You all sound so busy!
i still havn't thought much about what i want to do in the future i'm too lazy, i'll probably regret it later though.
*PennilessWriter:iconPennilessWriter: Jan 20, 2008, 11:19:14 AM
Ooh, what's it like working in a restaurant? Are you a waiter? If I had to wait tables I'm sure I would just keep dropping everything. Or I'd get pissed off and accidentally be really rude to the customers!! lol. And drawing is interesting! :D

Most people only do one subject at university; I'm doing English Language and Literature. Oxford University isn't just a normal university, by the way!! :P Have you heard of it before? :D

That's cool about Sabrina. Tell her I say well done! I wonder if she remembers me?

Yeah, my family are all okay. Bryony is now in Year 10 and she's a bit of a genius. Sebastian's at university in Kent doing Computer Science. He's in his 3rd year. Mum and Dad work. And I am still good friends with Char and Di! Diane is doing Drama at uni in Manchester, and Char is doing an Art foundation course in Maidstone, which is cool. I sort of wish I was at uni now even though going to Oxford is going to be really hard work. Still, I'm quite enjoying my gap year anyway. I still need to plan where I'm going to travel in the summer!

You got any plans for the future, or still trying to work things out?

wow congrats on getting into Uni, what subjects are you going to do there?

All i do is work part time at a restaurant then come home and draw a bit, so not very interesting :)

Sabrina is still at Invicta, done her GCSEs she did really well lots of As and A+ a lot better than me. My Dad and Mum still work.

How about your family? are you still good friends with Charlotte and Diane?
*PennilessWriter:iconPennilessWriter: Jan 20, 2008, 5:03:29 AM
Haha, sounds good!

Meanwhile, I should probably try and do some more art sometime... Everything's just so busy! I have so many things I want to do before I start uni in October but I'm working Monday-Friday at a school as an IT technician and I'm normally so tired in the evenings that I can't get anything done!

How are things at home? How's your family? Is Sabrina still at Invicta?

Well, maybe one day! My sister and I were just looking through your gallery; you're very good at shading with colouring pencils. You definitely should do something with it!!

What are you up to at the moment, anyway? :)

oops didn't see your comment before posting mine

nah i don't think i'll do an art course i quite like learning by myself, its just a hobby i like to do at the moment

i have no idea how to start a career with it, sounds kinda scary

Hi, didn't know you had an account here :)
*PennilessWriter:iconPennilessWriter: Dec 6, 2007, 6:38:13 PM
Hi!

Yeah, I think I remember!
Thanks for checking on me - how nice! I hope you're well too.
Yeah, hairspray is great. A cheap alternative to fixative! Try to find the least scented type possible though because the smell can annoy people (especially if you're doing schoolwork!).

Hello Seth, how are you? I'm Marilyn from the Delta forum, if you remember?

Stopped by to see how your drawings are going and how you are. You are very talented.

Also, I wondered, how do you fix your drawings? I've heard that hairspray gives a good fix? I want to stop my drawings from smudging in my sketchbook.

Is he still doing arty things? He should keep it up! Ooh, ask him if he ever finished his portrait of Hetty; I never got to see it...

I am excited about uni but am so glad I took a gap year; I have done work experience with Orion Publishing (and got 27 free books over the weeks!! Yes!!) and an internship with a niche London newspaper - not too glamorous but have had lots of articles published (and one feature in a magazine) and am building up a portfolio. Not this Monday but the next one I have my Oxford interview. I am terrified. I was hoping that they would let me in without interview because my English A Level was one of the Top 10 in the country, but noooooo! (Bastards.) And I always embarrass myself whenever I open my mouth so it's not looking good. :P

Yeah, don't worry - I haven't been on devArt for ages either. (Okay, a week.) What have you been up to? How is Nick? Tell him long time, no speak!

sorry it took so long to reply, I don't go on deviantart that much!
*PennilessWriter:iconPennilessWriter: Nov 6, 2007, 5:15:29 PM
Ooh, awesome! So you two are good friends? Yeah, his work is really good! I can't believe he hasn't been showing everyone and boasting (I would! :P).

I am fine. I can't believe the time is going by so fast. I sort of feel like I'm not getting everything done that I wanted to in my gap year...! We'll see how it goes though. How is uni? :D
